This 3 weekend program is taught by Instructors with over 100 years in their specialties.

This program can be upgraded to a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training with 3 more weekends of training.

The fast growing profession of Yoga Therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well being through the application of the philosophy and practice of yoga. Through yoga poses (asanas), yogic breathing (pranayama) and meditation (dhyana) Yoga Therapy has been used to:
1. Manage or relieve pain
2. Align the structural imbalances of the body
3. Build mental strength and stamina to deal with addictions and find release from depression and stress
4. Strengthen the immune system by lowering cortical

Where can Yoga Therapy be used?
Yoga Therapy is being used in hospitals, chiropractic and medical clinics, wellness centers and private practice.

Program Overview
Through this comprehensive and professional course, Yoga Therapy students will develop their own personalized program designed to enable them to teach individuals and/or groups with specific needs and health challenges. During course work students will learn how to address common health issues and foster overall well being by connecting the mind, body and emotions. Students will train in yoga asanas, guided meditation, breathing practice, anatomy and physiology. Students may choose their specialty course of study and expertise.

1st weekend Prerequisite:
How to be a Yoga Therapist

2nd weekend Elective:
Structural Therapy of the Upper Body
Includes training for pan & misalignment of the neck, shoulder, arm, carpal tunnel, rotation cuff, upper spine & scoliosis

3rd weekend Elective:
Yoga Therapy for Autoimmune Illnesses
Includes training for working with clients suffering from cancer, lupus, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis & muscular sclerosis.

4th weekend Elective:
Structural Yoga Therapy for the Lower Body
Includes training for pain & misalignment of lumbar spine, hips, S/I, legs, knees, feet & ruptured disk.

5th weekend Elective:
Yoga Therapy for Mental Health & Well Being
Includes training for working with patients suffering for stress, depression, addictions & ADHD.

6th weekend Prerequisite:
500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training
Includes philosophy, lifestyle & ethics, practicum, teaching methodology and technique training.

Each elective will be followed by a Mentorship Program with phone & online supervised by an Instructor.

Program Objective
Upon completion of 1 prerequisite, 2 elective weekends and a mentorship program for each elective equaling 3 weekends, students will receive a certificate as a Certified Yoga Therapist (CYT) and be eligible to join the International Association of Yoga Therapist (IAYT).

Upon completion of all 6 weekends and the mentorship programs, 200RYT students will ALSO receive a diploma and be eligible to join Yoga Alliance (YA) as a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

Tuition
For Certified Yoga Therapist degree, tuition is $350 per weekend and $50 for the mentorship program in the chosen field of expertise for a total of $1150.

For a 500 RYT and a CYT degree, tuition is $350 per weekend and $50 for each mentorship program for a total of $2300.

Registration
To apply as a Certified Yoga Therapist students must be a 200 RYT or a health care providers.
